The Edmonton Community Foundation today announced the appointment of Ryan Young as the Director of the Social Enterprise Fund.
“Ryan will be responsible for driving SEF’s strategic direction and program development to social impact initiatives across Alberta. He brings a wealth of leadership experience from academia, having served as Dean at two prominent institutions. As a social entrepreneur, his interest has been at the intersection of financial sustainability and social/environmental impact. His ventures have spanned diverse areas, including the development of energy efficient housing, the establishment of cooperatives, and management of microfinance organizations,” stated the ECF announcement welcoming Ryan. He is scheduled to join SEF later in October.
