Path to Loan Grants
Our grants are designed to help organizations curious about social enterprise to explore their options. They are for organizations who may be uncertain of what they want to do, but who are dedicated to pursuing alternative funding, empowering their clients, or meeting hitherto unmet market needs. Path to Loan Grants are designed to lead you to our financing products. We understand that every Path to Loan Grant may not result in a loan, our goal here is to simply help you evaluate and explore your options. Path to Loan Grants are extremeley limited, and account for only 4% of our budget.
Path to Loan Grants are one time only, and can cover a maximum of 50% of costs to a miximum of $10,000.
Uses:
Business Planning
Path to Loan Grants can be used for the preparation of business plans. This may include the cost of professional consultants and related expenditures.
Feasibility Analysis
Grants may be used to conduct market or product research.
Project Planning
Creating the final schedule, or bringing in additional expertise for short-term planning.
Requirments:
An Idea with Blended Value
Is the idea financially sustainable or better? Does it yield a positive social return? Who is benefitting and how will this be domonstrated? How will success be measured?
History of Achievement
What has your organization accomplished? Does it have a strong positive track record in the community> If you’re a newer organization we will look at your partner organizations, and personal track record(s).
Ability to Deliver
Have you lined up the necessary non-financial resources internally and externally to make your idea a success? Do you have a firm commitment from the major stakeholders? And you you have the wherewithall to see the idea through?
